The votes have been tallied, and the winner is... Adelaine! They will be opening X-Fest 2011. Thanks to all the bands and all the fans who participated in our fan poll. We had some great bands to choose from, but in the end the fans let their voices be heard.

So you may notice that there's only 9 bands. Wasn't X-Fest supposed to have 10? We're glad you asked. We've got one wild-card up our sleeve that you won't want to miss. Consider it one to grow on.

Is it hot enough out there for ya? The hot weather is here and that means that Ten Talents summer concerts are in full swing. This week the TTM team goes on the road! Saginaw we're heading your way to rock your faces off! Ten Talents is partnering with Harbor Light Family Church for Summer Bash 2011 featuring rock group Redefining the Fall, hip-hop artist Xsedus, and DJ Vow. Summer Bash is a youth-oriented concert open to the community to kick off the summer. The show starts at 7pm and admission is $5 at the door. Come hang with us!

P.S. By now you've probably heard who will be headlining X-Fest 2011 on Saturday, August 6th. If you haven't you can check out those promo videos here and here. We have 8 more bands to be released SOON! Through this weekend you can purchase tickets for $8. This Week at the Worship Lounge

With one show behind us, we've got 2 more shows this week. The ~~craziness~~ summer concert season has begun!

This Thursday night, June 2nd, the Worship Lounge is excited to have the opportunity to host a fresh style of worship with DJ Drue Mitchell from JCTV and Blake Porter ok Blake Porter Ministries. Blake will bring the Word and Drue will put a new spin on some familiar worship tunes. Bring your Bible and journal, and come experience this interactive dj-led night of worship. Everything starts at 7pm in the Worship Lounge. A $5 suggested donation will be accepted at the door. Come worship with us!

Friday night, June 3rd, Ten Talents Ministry is hosting an all-ages fundraising concert for James Mclester of Supernova Remnant. You can see James' testimony here. James is in need of a kidney, and it is his desire to bring awareness to kidney disease. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased online or at the door. It is sure to be a night of great music and of hope. Don't miss it!

Yes, it's only 3 hours until the show starts, but our philosophy is better late than never. It's not too late to come rock out hard-core style for Jesus TONIGHT with the Battle for Canada tour featuring As Bold As Lions, Righteous Vendetta, One Last Soul, Confessions of a Sinner, and AdamsEve.

The show is in the Worship Lounge at 1245 Bedford Road in Bedford. The rocking off of faces begins at 7pm. Doors open at 6:30. And the important part: tickets are $10 at the door.

Worship Lounge took a little vacation last Friday, but it is coming back strong with two awesome shows! This Friday night, May 27th, Worship Lounge welcomes up and coming Christian artist, Whitlee Casey. We're also excited to welcome back to the Worship Lounge our good friend, Brandon Jenkins. Kick off the holiday weekend with some great acoustic music. Everything starts at 7pm in the Worship Lounge.

On Thursday, June 2, Worship Lounge has the awesome privilege of hosting a fresh style of worship with dj Drue Mitchell and Blake Porter. Blake is going to bring the Word and DJ Drue is going to put a new spin on some worship tunes we all know. Bring your Bible and your journal and experience worshiping the Lord in a exciting new way. The Cat Is Out of the Bag... X-Fest 2011 BIG Announcement

If you've seen our world premiere video (link above) - and yes we use that term loosely - you know the cat is out of the bag. We've been hinting at it right here on the blog. The first band announced for X-Fest 2011 on August 6 is going to be... drum roll, please... Sent By Ravens! You may now commence the screaming like little school girls. Maybe that's just me. Maybe that's why my co-workers are looking at me strangely now. Oh well.

We are excited to have Sent By Ravens on the X-Fest 2011 bill, but we're not done yet. There's 9 more bands to be announced. Keep checking back for more BIG announcements.

Why were you down for 2 whole days? We really wanted to post a TTM blog with all the great stuff we have going on this weekend, but NOOO....you just wouldn't have it. It's ok. We forgive you....THIS TIME.

So after some technical difficulties, the TTM blog is finally back up and running - and just in time for a weekend full of great music. We kick off the weekend tonight at the Worship Lounge with prog rock group, Supernal Endgame. An uplifting and entertaining blend of melodic progressive rock and Christian inspiration comes together in the music of Supernal Endgame. Doors open at 6:30 and the show starts at 7pm in the Worship Lounge. Admission is $5, so come out and enjoy the beautiful weather, some terrific music, and forget about the fact that it's Friday the 13th.

Don't miss Saturday night's local show featuring Dalom, Stitched, Unveiled, and Etchmark! Dalom is fresh from the recent release of their remastered EP. The current single by Stitched, "What I Want", has cracked the Top 20 on ChristianRock.net's countdown (and you can help them by voting and requesting their music). If you haven't had a chance to check out Unveiled's new line-up, tomorrow night's show will be a great opportunity to catch them live. And don't miss Etchmark with their gritty sound and hard-hitting riffs. It's the next generation of Christian rock music.Tickets are $10 at the door. The show starts at 7pm. Don't miss it!

We end the weekend with a bang! Join our friends, Dalom, at Biker Sunday 2011 hosted by Harbor Light Family Church in Saginaw, TX this Sunday from 10:30am-3:00pm. There will be a Blessing of the Bikes, music, food, and raffle. This event is free for the community, so bring your bike and join us at Cheaper Than Dirt at 2526 NE Loop 820 in Fort Worth on Sunday.

The TTM website is working on a new 'do. Over the next few weeks, you'll probably notice some changes to the TTM site. It is a work in progress, so keep checking back for new changes.

Last, but certainly not least, we want to send out a big conGRADulations (yes, we actually went there and we can actually spell congratulations - graduations call for cheesy well-wishes) to TTM team member, Stephanie who is graduating from college this weekend. We wish her all the best and want her to know how happy we are to have her on our team.

We threw a little announcement out there earlier this week. Just a little something about those X's you've been seeing all over Facebook. X marks the spot on 10 (yes, I said T-E-N) bands for the First Annual X-Fest coming on Saturday, August 6th. Now we can't tell you the bands just yet, but we promise that you are in for one crazy show and some wild reveals over the next few weeks. Did we also mention that it's air conditioned? TTM Car Wash Fundraiser Part II - The Sequel

...or maybe we should call it The Squeakquel? Ha. Ha. Ha. Get it? Because your car would be squeaky clean. Nothin? Yeah it's a stretch, I know.

Back by popular demand...Ten Talents will be having another car wash fundraiser on Saturday, May 21st in the FUMC Bedford parking lot (right on the NW corner of Bedford Road and Hwy. 183). We'll be washing vehicles from 10am to 2pm, so bring your car, truck, unicycle, scooter, pogo stick, or dirigible (or any other form of transportation for that matter) to be washed by our team of awesome volunteers. All donations go to support Ten Talents Ministry and Worship Lounge. FREE Worship Lounge bottled water and other cool refreshments will be available.

We have some great concerts planned for the summer and that can only happen with your support! Come hang out with us on May 21st!

We had an exciting addition to the Worship Lounge lineup this week. Local favorites, Motorist Jones will be kicking the show off with their soulful yet edgy brand of music. Kentucky rocker, Josh Reardon will also be playing. He's got a style all his own with influences from rock, country, gospel, and folk. The show starts at 7pm at the Worship Lounge this Friday night. Donations the musicians will be accepted at the door. Don't miss this awesome night of music!

May is just around the corner and summer is fast approaching. That means the TTM team is in overdrive getting some GINORMOUS shows lined up for your listening pleasure. I can't let the elephant out of the bag yet (hence the hipster looking pink elephant pic), but I can say that you are going to want to keep your ears out for some BIG announcements, some MONSTER giveaways, and some all around great summer fun. Don't miss it!

At the Car Wash...

Workin' at the car wash yeah! Is that song stuck in your head now? I know it's been stuck in mine for a week now. Speaking of working at the car wash...

Be sure to bring your car, moped, unicycle, RV, truck, helicopter (ok if you have one of these, can I have a ride?) out to the very first Ten Talents Car Wash this Saturday, April 23rd. The fun, festivities, and all around craziness begins at 10am in the parking lot of First United Methodist Church of Bedford (1245 Bedford Rd, Bedford, TX). Enjoy some concessions and possibly even some live music while you wait for your car to get all spiffed up for Easter.

In other Ten Talents news, there will be NO Worship Lounge this Friday, April 22nd in observance of Good Friday. Everyone is invited to join us for an interactive Good Friday service as we take time to reflect on the sacrifice that Christ made for us. The service begins at 7pm just down the hall from the Worship Lounge.

So while we hone our mad car washing skills, and channel our inner-Mr. Miyagi (say it with me people, 'Wax on. Wax off.'), we hope you are having a wonderful week. We've got some great shows coming up for the summer so keep checking back for more information.

Just a Little Spring Fever

We've had a little spring fever this week. No matter how old we get (and that's pretty old compared to some of you youngsters), it seems like we always need a little break around Spring Break. So this is going to be quick post.

Come worship with us TONIGHT (in about an hour) at the Worship Lounge. Men as Trees walking and special guest, Stevan Parra, will be leading worship. There's no charge at the door tonight, but a donation to the bands and their ministries would be greatly appreciated. Join us tonight at 7pm in the Worship Lounge.

Come out with Ten Talents team to 3201 in Plano this Saturday, March 19th to hear our good friends Dalom, Outside the Camp, and AdamsEve. Show starts at 7:30. Admission is $5 at the door.

We've got some fun things planned for the TTM blog next week. Awesome TTM volunteer, Lindsay, will be a guest poster for us. She's going to be following Dallas locals, Don't Wake Aislin at SXSW in Austin. We can't wait to hear from her. So Much to Say...So Much to Say

Hey Friends, check it out! We've got some pretty great shows coming up this Spring Break week. This Tuesday night we've got Righteous Vendetta, Day of Vengeance, Sound the Ruin, and Murderers,Thieves. 5 bucks to have some bands scream their hearts out for Jesus, what's better than that? We'll be in our usual spot at FUMC Bedford (1245 Bedford Rd. in Bedford, TX right on the NW corner of Bedford Rd. and Hwy. 183).

This week the Worship Lounge welcomes back Men As Trees Walking and Jerusalem. There's no charge at the door, but a donation to the bands and their ministries would be greatly appreciated. The show starts at 7pm in the Worship Lounge.

Ten Talents is praying for those who have been affected by the earthquake and tsunami in Japan and across the Pacific. To show our support, we will be raising money for the United Methodist Committee on Relief's Pacific Emergency Relief Fund. As relief efforts are under way, Ten Talents will keep you updated on other ways we can help the people of Japan. You will have opportunities to give at our shows in the month of March, but you can also go to UMCOR's website to give to this fund (ADVANCE# 3021317).

Last but certainly not least...So Charles came across the Facebook page for the documentary, Bleed Into One - The Story of Christian Rock. Are we the only ones since 2009 who haven't heard about this AMAZING hopefully soon-to-be released documentary (we're praying/crossing our fingers, toes, legs-probably because we just drank a Route44, and eyes)? Wow! is all I can say. If the movie is half as compelling as the four minute trailer on their site, this is going to be one awesome documentary. This is a story that really needs to be told not just to Christian music lovers, but also believers who may not understand what an impact Christian rock is making in the lives of people who may never have walked through the doors of a church. Please take a minute to check out the documentary trailer here.

It really puts into perspective why we at Ten Talents do what we do, and why we feel incredibly blessed to be able to provide a place where musicians and artists of all genres can come to share their faith in Christ through their art. Lets pray for those who are behind this movie, that nothing will stand in the way of telling this story. And lets pray for the musicians who travel each year to places all around the world to share the word of Christ through their music. Some of these bands spend tons of time away from their family and friends to not only entertain you but to also share their faith. They may go into secular venues where animosity and the temptations of the world may be staring them in the face constantly just to follow the mission God has placed in their hearts.The last place that these artists need to be torn down is in the church (watch the movie trailer to see what I'm talking about). Lets build each other up in support and love, instead of tearing our brothers and sisters down because we don't understand their music. And now I'm off my soapbox.

Don't forget to join the Ten Talents Ministry team for the Fat Tuesday Pancake Dinner THIS Tuesday night, March 8. We'll start flappin' our jacks and stackin' our cakes at 6pm in the Worship Lounge (1245 Bedford Rd, Bedford). Pancakes are FREE, but a donation would be greatly appreciated. Your donations will help Ten Talents book some major shows over the next year (We can't talk about anything definite, but we'd like to have a band kind of like "Mailed by Birds" *wink wink* come out sometime this year. This blogger can dream, can't she?). Sadly, our special musical for the night, Johnny Lujan, won't be able to join us. Be in prayer for his family, as someone is dealing with a medical crisis.

So throw on your fat pants, flap your jacks, and get ready for some AMAZING pancakes!

Worship Lounge is officially 1. Ten Talents would like to send out a big thank you to our special guests last Friday night, Radiant Fallout and The Speed of Thought. Thank you also to everyone who came out celebrate and have cake with us! And thank you to Sweet Designs by Destynni for providing us with this wonderfully delicious cake!

So while our inner fat kids wipe the drool off - it was quite yummy cake - we say Thank You for your support over the last year! We've had some amazing shows, and we have some amazing shows to come. We are thankful that the Lord has blessed us by allowing us to do the things we love, and by bringing great people and great music into our lives.

Is it stuck in your head now? So after a weekend of crazy sick shows - (can anyone say Spoken, uh wow!?) there's no time for rest. The Worship Lounge 1st year celebration is just around the corner. Did you know that today is National Pancake Day? Today, you can get FREE (yes, FREE) stacks of pancakes at IHOP until 10pm to benefit the Scottish Rite Hospital. Free pancakes for a great cause, it's like manna from heaven. Speaking of pancakes for a GREAT cause, join us in the Worship Lounge on Tuesday, March 8th at 6pm for a Fat Tuesday Pancake Dinner. Donations for dinner go to help Ten Talents keep bringing you awesome music! So bring your mom, your dad, your kids, your favorite aunt Fran, and eat us out of as many pancakes as possible. Entertainment for the night is still to be determined but sure to be fun!

THIS Thursday, February 24th, Ten Talents Presents a special engagement show with Spoken, Outside the Camp, and Stitched. Tickets are $5 at the door (Cash Only). The show starts at 7pm at First United Methodist Church of Bedford (1245 Bedford Rd., Bedford, TX - just in case you don't know where to find us). Where else can you hear such great music for such an awesome price?...Don't answer that until you read the rest of this blog.

Friday night, February 25th, join some of the TTM team out and about as we go watch our good friends, Dalom completely rock your faces off at Dad's Venue in Denton, TX. The show starts at 8pm, and tickets are $10 and can be purchased through Charles. Hit him up on Facebook or at tentalentsministries@gmail.com.

TTM Presents: Manic Drive THIS WEEKEND!

EXCITED doesn't cover what Ten Talents is about the Manic Drive show this weekend. Elated. Amazed. Giddy like little school girls. Happy. Take your pick. We're probably feelin' it!

Besides the great music from Manic Drive, News from Verona, and Blood and Water, the TTM team is most excited about the fact that the concert benefits our FAVORITE Christian rock station, PowerFM. Help us help them keep awesome Christian rock music going in the DFW area and all over the world via the internet! Come out and show your support. We've got space for a thousand, so help us pack out FUMC Bedford!

So here's the details: The show is THIS Saturday, February 19th. The show starts at 6:30pm, and we're asking for a $5 suggested donation to go to Power FM. Your support makes a BIG difference for Christian music in the DFW area.

Worship Lounge Turns 1

Let's blow the dust off this blog and get the party started! Our 1st birthday party, that is. Now that we're 1, we're a little better behaved, we sleep through the night, but we still throw our food. In honor of Worship Lounge turning 1, we've got some great Worship Lounge shows lined up for you every FRIDAY in March.

March 3rd we kick things off by welcoming back Radiant Fallout. Fresh from the recent release of their first cd, they are sure to rock Worship Lounge. Local guys, The Speed of Thought, will be opening the show. Word has it they will be dressed kind of funny, so feel free to come dressed a little funny too! Tickets are $5 at the door.

RadioFire at Worship Lounge This Week

Local Christian rock band, Radio Fire will be at the Worship Lounge this Thursday night! Radio Fire was formed in 2006 by brothers, Kyle and Myles, and their childhood friend, Elijah. Initially, the purpose of the band was to play music for fun. In 2009, the band was transformed when Kyle was diagnosed with leukemia. Through God's grace, Kyle was healed, and the band was given a new purpose of not only having fun playing music but also sharing their testimony. The show starts at 7pm, and tickets are $5 at the door (cash only).

Thursday night at Worship Lounge is also your first chance to get tickets for two awesome upcoming TTM Presents shows: TTM Presents TX Throwdown for Haiti benefiting the Hands and Feet Project for Haiti on Saturday, October 9, and TTM Presents The Mixtape Revolution Tour on Saturday, October 30. you can also get your tickets for the TTM Presents We As Human with Don't Wake Aislin and Fatal Formality show on Saturday, October 2. What Did You Do Labor Day Weekend?

How was your Labor Day,everyone? How did you spend your holiday? The TTM team kicked the weekend off on Thursday night at the Worship Lounge with A Rotterdam November and local favorites Fatal Formality. What an awesome night! Thanks to everyone who was able to make it out to the concert! If you have pictures from last Thursday night's concert, be sure to email them to the TTM team or post them on the Worship Lounge Facebook page.

We ended the holiday weekend by going to see the Disciple show at The Church at Azle. Besides being great entertainers, Disciple is a band that has a heart for Christ and takes time in the concert to not only sing about Christ in their music but also to talk about Him and how to become a follower of Christ.

We were kind of bummed, though, that Sent by Ravens didn't get to open the show. We're anxious to see them perform in a couple of weeks at Eisenbergs in Plano. Thanks to TTM team member, Lindsey for turning us on to this great band!

Subject Untitled, a local Fort Worth band, opened the Disciple show and did a great job! I particularly enjoyed their cover of Jars of Clay's Flood. They really took the song and turned it into their own. Be sure to check out their music too, particularly the song, The Journey.

Needless to say, Monday came around and we definitely needed a rest!

As much as the TTM team loves hosting shows and putting on concerts, we are still just HUGE fans at heart.

Last night, a few of us went out to see Fireflight at Stonewater Church in Granbury. It was most definitely worth the hour drive to catch the show! The band's energy completely fired up the crowd...especially our 5 year-old who loves Fireflight and is a head banger in the making.

Thanks to super TTM team member, Julia, for letting us know that Jeremy Camp was going to be right down the street from us in Bedford today! Of course we rushed right over there to grab a pic with him, and we came bearing goodies! In honor of the Jeremy Camp's latest cd release, We Cry Out: The Worship Project, what better gift to bring than Worship Lounge t-shirts?!? Maybe one day we will see him rockin' the tie-dye. Hey, we can dream can't we? Of course, wouldn't be great to have him on the Worship Lounge stage? Until that day, we'll keep providing you with great bands and great music to come see.

Don't forget this weekend is packed with great TTM shows. It all starts tonight at 7 with someGuynamedbart at the Worship Lounge. Friday night the music continues with Ocean is Theory and Motorist Jones starting at 7 (tickets for this show are $7 at the door/cash only). Last but not least, be sure to join us at Center Point church in North Richland Hills for the Back 2 School Bash with Unveiled, Desperate Reliance, and the CPC Student Band. The Back 2 School Bash is free, and word has it that they will be having an iPad giveaway.

What week for great music at TTM! We kick off the weekend on Thursday night with the end of the Worship Lounge Summer Series. We welcome our good friend someGuynamedbart back to the Worship Lounge stage. He's got some great new acoustic material and of course some worship classics we all know. We also welcome back Rev.Ryno who will be playing the washboard! You won't want to miss this night of great worship and great friends.

The music continues on Friday night for a show that was JUST ANNOUNCED! Ocean is Theory and Motorist Jones will be playing. The show starts at 7pm at FUMC Bedford. Tickets are $7 at the door (cash only). Keep checking the TTM website and Facebook for any last minute additions to the show!

Saturday night we're ending the weekend and the summer with the Back to School Bash at Center Point Church in North Richland Hills. Unveiled, Desperate Reliance, and the CPC Student Band will be playing. The show is FREE to the public and starts at 6:30pm. Did I mention there is going to be an IPAD giveaway? Did you think we forgot about you? Where have we been? We've been at shows of course.

The TTM team came back from summer vacation ready to go with a great line up to end the summer with. We kicked off the last half of the summer with the TTM Presents The Freely Give tour featuring Manafest, DJ Dru Mitchell, and local band Planning Yesterday. Wow! DJ Dru Mitchell started off the night with a mix of great music to get the crowd pumped up. Some of us on the TTM team had to chuckle at the irony when he threw a little “Burning Down the House” by Talking Heads into the mix since our home church had suffered a fire about 11 years ago. Local band, Planning Yesterday kept the show going with an energetic rock set. Front man, Cory, along with the rest of the band really knows how to engage the crowd and keep them fired up. The show continued with Manafest who completely brought the house down with tunes from his latest cd, No Plan B. That was definitely a night of awesome music!

The Worship Lounge summer schedule picked up again with some new bands and new guest host, Michelle. The Church Chix started off the end of summer WL line up with a bang! The passion that this all-female worship band has for bringing people to a place of worship comes through in all of their music. From classical to rock'n'roll, the Chix all come from different musical backgrounds, but they weave these influences into some powerful original compositions and traditional worship songs. These ladies are local, so be sure to check them out around town.

The Saving Motion came to the Worship Lounge stage the following week...and can we just say AWESOME! This band, based out of Claremore, OK (yes that's the birthplace of Will Rogers in case you were wondering), is currently on their first tour. They started out as a worship team for their college group, and quickly turned into a touring band. TSM did a lot of worship tunes while at WL, but listening to their EP is definitely where it's at. Their EP is really a sample of the different types of music they can do. Keep your eye out for The Saving Motion the next time they make their way down to North Texas.

The Worship Lounge welcomed X1stance, an industrial rock duo from right here in the DFW area. The music of X1stance is a powerful mix of traditional Hebrew praises and state of the art electronic music. Mark and Jacob are on a mission of bringing a wide range of emotion and praise to a genre of music that is not generally known for being uplifting. By incorporating traditional Hebrew worship elements and electronic music, they are really in a league of their own. Check them out on Myspace for more information on their music, their mission, and listen to a few of their mixes while you're there.

Last week the local all-lady trio, Sistaworth, came and lead a powerful night at Worship Lounge. WOW! The fusion of their musical styles and their love of worship made for a night of beautiful and passionate worship.

The summer isn't over yet, though. The line up continues tonight with worship band All Out Band. Worship Lounge is Thursday nights at 7pm at the First United Methodist Church of Bedford. Admission is Free.

So as you can see, it's been a busy and exciting time for the Ten Talents Ministry. And there is so much more to come! You don't want to miss it!

Last Thursday was the debut of the Worship Lounge tie-dyed shirts. They were a HUGE hit! Thanks so much to the Young Adult Ministry at FUMC Bedford for making shirts. We have a limited supply of shirts left, but will be working this week to get some more made. The remaining supply of shirts are $5 and can be purchased on Thursday nights at Worship Lounge..or shoot us an email for questions or size information.

X1stance

Worship Lounge has gotten off to a great start since coming back from our little summer break. Apparently, a rest was just what was needed to kick off the end to our first summer on a high note...no pun intended. The Worship Lounge August line-up begins with X1stance, a local industrial Christian rock duo. The TTM ministry team is excited to have them at the Worship Lounge. As music lovers ourselves, we are always exploring new forms of worship music.

Lounging Around for a Few Weeks

Worship Lounge is going on vacation for a few weeks. Let's face it, even the Lounge needs a little break every once in awhile. Yes the TTM team would love to be relaxing on the beach, but we will be planning and gearing up for a great rest of the summer!

Worship Lounge will be back on Thursday, July 22nd with an all-lady praise band, the Church Chix. I spent yesterday listening to their cd, and I know you all are going to love them. My favorite song is a medley of the praise song, How Great is Our God and the timeless hymn, How Great Thou Art. The Chix have woven these two songs together into a beautiful praise song. The Church Chix are as strong vocally as they are instrumentally, a great combination the TTM team things you will enjoy.

Worship Lounge may be on vacation, but the blog will still be working...maybe a little harder than normal. Keep checking back for more information. Enjoy this rain and enjoy the summer break!

Howdy Folks! We've got lots of Worship Lounge news for you this week. The Worship Lounge summer line-up continues this Thursday with Desperate Reliance, a local worship band with a great blend of rock and worship. Their version of Mighty to Save is one of the most unique that I've heard. It's a rockin' spin on an awesome worship song. We think you'll really enjoy their music.

We are happy to have the Worship Lounge back in its usual space this week. The renovation of Scott Hall is complete and it will be like being in a whole new room. Thanks to the great folks of FUMC Bedford for doing some wonderful renovations in record time! The TTM team would also like to thank the staff and youth for letting us set up shop in the gym while the renovations were being done.

And from the sad but true file...This week's Worship Lounge will be Rev. Ryno's last as host. He is going to focus on the ministry that God has called Him to - reaching out to the lost people of Fort Worth through street preaching. The TTM team is sad to see him go, but we all know that when God calls you have to follow where He is leading. We are thankful to have him as a friend and are excited for him and his family. I'm sure we'll still see Ryno around TTM concerts, but be sure to keep him in your prayers as he takes this step in his ministry.

Rev. Ryno will be hosting the Worship Lounge this week featuring Simone Nicole and Chad Carpenter. A certain someone (aka Charles) will be celebrating a birthday that night, so come on out and join us as we celebrate with some great music.

The TTM team wants to thank Bro. John for stepping in in a pinch last week and hosting the Worship Lounge. He did an excellent job. We are thankful to have him as part of the ministry team.

Thanks to everyone who came out for our very first Summer BASH (Bands All Serving Him) this past Saturday. Thank you to all of the awesome musicians (Don't Wake Aislin, Motorist Jones, and Radiant Fallout) for putting on a wonderful show. We would also like to thank author Lynette Theisen and Stephanie with Texas Christian Songwriters Association for being apart of the day and sharing about their ministries.

God has blessed our ministry immensely and continues to open doors for us. Our focus now is on getting the word out to musicians and the community about the great music we have playing at Ten Talents. Please keep the TTM ministry team in your prayers as we push forward and continue to follow what God has called us to.

This Week at Ten Talents Minstry

With the unofficial start of summer past us, the Ten Talents Ministry team is hard at work planning a summer packed full of events. There is something for everyone, so be sure to mark your calendars now for some exciting concerts.

Worship Lounge will be taking a little break this week as we get our temporary lounge for the month of June all ready to host some killer bands. We kick off the Lounge in June with a bang on the 10th with Climbing for Infinity. Climbing for Infinity is a local Christian rock band that rocks hard for Jesus.

For the month of June, the Worship Lounge will be meeting in the Youth Gym at FUMC Bedford. The Youth Department has been gracious enough to allow us to use the gym, and the TTM team appreciates their support. The gym is at 2012 Shady Brook Drive right across the street from our normal meeting space. Just look for the sign.

We weren't joking when we said we want artists of all genres performing on the Ten Talents stage. On Saturday, June 5th TTM Presents A Night with Dian and Friends. Dian Chandler, with the help of some very talented friends, will be performing many gospel favorites while sharing her powerful testimony of how the Lord has been with her through a life-altering illness. No matter your age or musical tastes, you won't want to miss this night of music and ministry. The show starts at 6PM, and admission is FREE.

This week at the Worship Lounge we welcome our good friend Bart as in someGuynamedbart. Bart is the worship leader at Freedom in Worship church in Fort Worth. Wow! God has been so good to us! The TTM team has been busy working on the line up of 4 amazing concerts coming over the next 2 weeks.

We kick off this great line up of concerts this Thursday night with the Worship Lounge hosted by Rev. Ryno. Prophetic worship band, Men As Trees Walking will be playing. Simone Nicole will open the show and DJ -polyx- will be spinning tunes before the show. Joanna Seamen will be our very special guest tonight at the Worship Lounge. Rev. Ryno will be hosting and sharing the Word with us. Java Junction will have coffee and concessions. The doors open at 6:30 and the show starts at 7:00. See you there!

Here's a little bit about Joanna: Joanna began venturing into music as a young teenager. Loving the guitar her whole life and always enjoying the atmosphere of worship she began writing songs at age 14. The songwriting was nothing more than an outlet and a way to talk and pour out her heart to our Father in Heaven we adore so much! It wasn't until age 15 that she thought, "Hey, I'm writing songs and it's about time I try this guitar thing I've been dreaming of anyway!" With the help of talented friends and an Ibanez loaned to her by her big sister; Joanna started clanking away. Never thinking she could be considered a "singer", Joanna simply took on adding vocals to her playing to keep herself on rhythm! haha It was only a matter of months before she was writing song after song! Never really being concerned about what everyone else thought about her music, because..well.. it was all for Jesus anyway! haha So now at the age of 21 Joanna's skills and style having changed and matured with her years of playing, but still year after year she has poured out her heart in song. One thing has never changed about how she feels about her music and that is, it is meant to be shared! Some could call it straight up acoustic. Some may call it worship. Joanna's closest friend and sister Teresa calls it "Coffee House. Indie, Folk"! Joanna prefers "coffee house". Most importantly is the hope and prayer that your heart is moved! If you are a lover of the Lord, if you've ever faced trying times, if you're a dreamer, a friend or a child of the Lord... you'll probably like what you hear from this girl and her guitar :) This particular evening Joanna will be accompanied by a dear and precious friend!

You may have noticed that the Ten Talents blog has been a little behind lately. One half of the Ten Talents Ministry team has been sick, but we're getting back to normal and getting things caught up. There have been so many exciting things happening with Ten Talents. So let's get to it and let you know what going on.

A SPECIAL THANKS to Andy Pearce for jumping in and performing last Thursday night at the Worship Lounge. Bart of Some Guy Named Bart was ill and unable to perform that night. We hope Bart is feeling better and that he will be able to come out and perform at the Lounge some time soon. We'll keep you posted on new dates. Thanks again, Andy! You saved our bacon. Be sure to check out Andy's performance at the Worship Lounge on April 8th.

Seventh Day Slumber tickets are NOW on sale for the May 22nd show! You can purchase tickets by either going to the Ten Talents website or by going directly to Sonus tickets. Tickets are $15. Local band gravity liberation front and national recording artists Kiros will be opening for Seventh Day Slumber. The Ten Talents Ministry team is excited to have these amazing performers come together for one show in the DFW area, and can't wait to see how God will use them to reach our community for Christ.

This week we are happy to welcome Joanna Seamen to the Worship Lounge. Joanna began writing songs at the age of 14. Her songs began as a way to pour out her heart to the Heavenly Father. She has a "coffee house" style of worship that we think you will enjoy. A perfect blend of worship and coffee... what could be better?

The Ten Talents Ministry team will welcome the A'Men Quartet for a sneak peek performance during the Palm Sunday service at First United Methodist Church of Bedford this Sunday. The service begins at 10:00 am. A'men Quartet will be here on Saturday, April 17th to kick off the Ten Talents Presents monthly concert series. The show is FREE, so please bring your family and friends out to support our ministry.

Last but certainly not least...There will be no Worship Lounge on Thursday, April 1st. The Chancel Choir at our home church, FUMC Bedford, will be performing an Easter cantada that Thursday at 7:00 pm during the Maundy Thursday service. We hope that you will join us as they perform "Touched by the Christ". One of our Ten Talent Ministry team members will be performing that night. Worship Lounge will kick off for April on Thursday the 8th with Andy Pearce performing.

WideAwake this week at the Lounge

WideAwake featuring Michael Nobles and Caitlin Rogers will be performing at the Worship Lounge this Thursday night. We are excited to have them as our special guests at the Lounge this week. Wide Awake has an edgy sound that puts a new spin on worship. Michael and Caitlin will be joined on drums by Ben Nobles. The doors open at 6:30 and the show starts at 7.

Don't forget to stop by Java Junction at the Lounge. This week's featured drink is the Lounge Latte. A smooth blend of coffee and vanilla, the Lounge Latte is the signature drink of the Worship Lounge.

Thank you so much to everyone who came out and helped us kick off the Worship Lounge last Thursday night! We had a wonderful time and were happy to see quite a few new faces. Glory to One led a great night of worship, and Rev. Ryno did a great job as host. Our volunteers were awesome too!

Well the countdown has started to the next Worship Lounge this coming Thursday. Rev. Ryno will be hosting again, and we're happy to have WideAwake featuring Michael Nobles and Caitlin Rogers as our musical guests.

So come check us out this Thursday night! The doors open at 6:30, and the show starts at 7.

...that tonight's gonna be a good night..." at the Worship Lounge! Sorry to borrow a line from the Black Eyed Peas, but the TTM ministry team is excited about the start of Worship Lounge hosted by Rev. Ryno tonight.
So here's the news you need to know tonight:
Glory to One will be perfoming tonight at the Worship Lounge. The doors open at 6:30 and the show starts at 7:00. Java Junction's featured drink tonight is the Bottomless Cup of Java. How much coffee can you drink?
Here's a little hint: It pays to be the early bird. The first 10 people through the door will get a ticket for one free beverage from Java Junction.

So come on out and help us kick off the very first Worship Lounge. Great music and great coffee...What else is there to do on Thursday night?

6 Days and Counting til Worship Lounge!

It's 6 days and counting until the launch of Thursday nights at the Worship Lounge hosted by Rev. Ryno. Local worship jam band Glory to One will be our special guests. We are excited about the start of this new and exciting ministry right in the heart of the Metroplex at First United Methodist Church Bedford.

The Ten Talents Ministry Team will be out and about this weekend getting the word out about the Worship Lounge. You can find us on Friday night in Fort Worth at Artreach at Christ Chapel Bible Church. Check out this great event and of course the great music provided by our friends gravity liberation front.
On Saturday night you will find the TTM team at Flatline in the Diamond Hill area of Fort Worth. Pastor Lano Patino and Glory to One lead a night of awesome worship. Come out and join us! You might even get a chance to meet Rev. Ryno too.

Operation Starbucks

This week Operation Starbucks has commenced for the Ten Talents Ministry Team. Our goal is to have a Worship Lounge poster in every Starbucks in Tarrant County. OK...almost every Starbucks. We're doing pretty well so far, so keep your eyes open for the Worship Lounge poster on the community board at a Starbucks near you.

We're just a little over a week away from the launch of Thursday nights at the Worship Lounge hosted by Rev. Ryno. Everything is coming together well. We are looking forward to seeing a lot of new faces, making some new friends, and of course hearing some great music from Fort Worth's own Glory to One. We hope to see you there!

Volunteers We Need You!

Do you have a passion for music? Do you have a love of coffee? Do you need a fun environment to volunteer your time in? Then we have the place for you. Ten Talents Ministries is looking for volunteers for our upcoming concert events. We have multiple volunteer positions available for the Thursday night Worship Lounge series, such as greeter, set-up/tear-down crew, and coffee/concession server. There are also volunteer positions available for the monthly Ten Talents Presents concert series. Come volunteer and have fun with us and get the opportunity to hear some great bands for FREE! Please email the TTM ministry team if you are interested in volunteering. There will be a volunteer meeting on Saturday, Febraury 20th at 7PM at FUMC Bedford.

Houston We Have A Problem

Howdy Folks!
Are y'all enjoying this beautiful sunny Texas day? Sorry...a little bit of Texan popped in there. We wanted to update you on some problems we are having with the Myspace concert calendar. The TTM team is working hard with Myspace to get these problems resolved. The events are on the correct date, but there is a problem with the times listed. All Worship Lounge events begin at 7:00 PM, and the doors open at 6:30 PM. We have no morning Worship Lounge events, contrary to what the Myspace concert calendar says.

The Worship Lounge is coming together and we are excited to announce that Wide Awake will be performing on Thursday, March 11th. Wide Awake is a worship group from right here at our home church of FUMC Bedford. We are excited to have them, and we think you'll love their edgy sound.

We've Got Some Great Things Happening

Praise God from whom all blessings flow. What a difference a week can make. The Ten Talents Ministry Team has been hard at work booking shows and getting the Worship Lounge ready.

We"re happy to announce that on March 4th, Glory to One will be kicking off our Thursday night concert and coffee series - The Worship Lounge hosted by Rev. Ryno. Join us for a night of great worship, and of course, great coffee provided by Java Junction.

We have also been working on the TTM Presents monthly concert series, and boy do we have some ~~big~~ - make that HUGE announcements.

Our good friends with the A`Men Quartet will be performing a free (yes that is FREE!) show on Saturday, April 17th. We are happy to have these talented guys start off the TTM Presents series. Be sure to join us at
FUMC Bedford's service on Sunday, March 28th to get a sneak peek at these talented guys. Be sure to come out and support Ten Talents Ministries and this truly amazing local quartet.

And last but certainly not least...Seventh Day Slumber will be playing the TTM Presents show on May 22nd. We're also happy to have local band Gravity Liberation Front opening the show. Rev. Ryno will be hosting the show. You won't want to miss this night of great music. Keep checking here and all our places on the web for ticket info.
